E&P Software for Connected Well, Production, and Land Operations

Upstream oil and gas software for exploration and production operators

E&P software helps upstream oil and gas operators manage the data and workflows behind well construction, production operations, regulatory reporting, and land obligations. The Peloton Platform connects these operational records across the asset lifecycle, giving engineering, operations, accounting, and land teams shared context for the work ahead.

Where E&P operations lose momentum

When data for the same asset is split across teams and systems, routine questions turn into reconciliation projects. Connected E&P data management helps operators reduce that friction without forcing every discipline into the same workflow.

Fragmented Well Records

Drilling, completions, intervention, and integrity history spread across spreadsheets and point systems makes it harder to understand what happened at the well and act on what comes next.

One well history. More useful context.

Slow Production Reconciliation

Field estimates, well tests, meter readings, purchaser statements, and allocations reconciled by hand can delay close and weaken confidence in reported volumes.

Resolve exceptions earlier.

Disconnected Land Obligations

Agreements, ownership, payments, and obligations managed apart from the assets they govern can put deadlines, continuations, and audit readiness at risk.

Keep assets and obligations connected.

How Peloton Platform supports upstream operations

The Peloton Platform supports the distinct work of well, production, and land teams while connecting the records they share. Operators can standardize core data, preserve operational history, and move information from the field to the office with less duplicate entry.

E&P software QUESTIONS

What is E&P software?

E&P (exploration and production) software is the set of applications upstream oil and gas companies use to manage wells, production, and land from planning through abandonment. The Peloton Platform covers all three in one SaaS environment: WellView for well operations, ProdView for production and hydrocarbon accounting, and LandView for leases, ownership, and obligations. Peloton has built upstream software since 1991 and serves more than 700 clients worldwide.

What is the most widely used well data management software in oil and gas?

WellView, from Peloton, is used by more than 70% of the industry. WellView keeps a complete digital twin of each well from planning, drilling, and completions through workovers and abandonment. It draws wellbore schematics directly from the data, validates entries at the point of capture, and keeps automatic version history for audits.

What software do oil and gas operators use for production allocation and regulatory reporting?

Peloton ProdView handles production data from field capture to regulatory filing. Its flow network diagram shows how product moves from completion through the gathering system to disposition. ProdView runs multi-tiered, date-effective allocations with volume validation. It also supports hydrocarbon accounting, fuel, flare, and vent emissions tracking, and more than 50 state, federal, and environmental agency reports across 20+ jurisdictions.

How do E&P companies connect well, production, and land data?

On the Peloton Platform, the data connects by design. A well created in WellView appears in ProdView without re-entry. LandView pushes working-interest and partner information to production for allocation, and LandView Map shows lease boundaries, well sites, and infrastructure together. Peloton ETL, powered by Snowflake, and Peloton APIs send the same records to data warehouses, BI tools, and ERP systems.

Can E&P field crews capture production and site data without cell coverage?

Yes. Peloton ProdView Go and SiteView Go work offline and sync automatically when a connection returns. Pumpers and operators log volumes, measurements, tasks, and safety events by well, route, or facility, and the data flows straight into ProdView. Construction and facility crews use SiteView Go to log daily activity, costs, and inspections the same way.

How do operators get real-time drilling and completions data into their well records?

Peloton Innova, co-developed with Innova Drilling & Intervention and launched in 2025, syncs survey data, BHA, and well plans in real time between WellView and Well Seeker. Peloton Frac consolidates hydraulic fracturing data from multiple service providers into one standard format, monitors stage progress, pressure, and pump rates, and writes directly into WellView. Together they end manual re-keying between the rig, the frac site, and the office.

Is Peloton E&P software cloud-based and secure?

Yes. The Peloton Platform is SaaS built on Microsoft Azure, and Peloton has been a Microsoft Azure Managed ISV Partner since 2020. Peloton has achieved SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, keeps backups across multiple data centers, and has a dedicated team monitoring Platform security. Teams work from a browser or mobile app, with regional data centers that include Southeast Asia.
