EXPERIENCE STORY
IMPORTING CEMENT DETAILS INTO WELLVIEW
Challenge
A cement job includes many details, and the WellView data model is fairly complex (five tables). Casing cement, plugs, and squeezes are the three main categories of cement jobs.

Entering cement data is an onerous and time-consuming task that is prone to errors, including incorrect values and missing data. The field users at Enerplus Resources (USA) Corporation estimated that it took up to 30 minutes to complete a cement report in WellView. Over the course of drilling with three cement jobs, they spent upwards of 90 minutes entering cement data.
Solution
Our client asked their local cementing representative if they would work with Peloton to find a solution. The cementing company and Peloton agreed upon an Excel template as the preferred way to capture the data. The new template reflects the WellView data model, uses a familiar format, is neutral to the cement vendor, and is intentionally very simple to populate. The template is exported to WVXML format for a quick import into WellView.
Client Testimonials
